A summer retreat in an idyllic setting; this home had the tired look and cramped rooms of a 70’s condo. Within certain structural limitations created by an octagonal living room, we opened up the kitchen and integrated the dining, kitchen and living areas into one space. The beautiful Berkshires landscape served as inspiration for the materials- natural, warm and simple, with furnishings that are both comfortable and classically contemporary.
